For the past 4 years my wife and I (in our 60's, self employed with only basic health insurance) been saving up all our medical and dental problems and making the 18 hour journey from California to a Thai hospital where the care is excellent and the cost...just a fraction of what I would have to pay out of pocket in the US. For example, last November I had an Endoscopic balloon dilation for a condition known as dysphagia. The specialist in the US said the operation would cost me $2500. (His bill for the 15 minute consultation was $250.) I decided to wait until I got to Thailand and had it done in at Chulalongkorn public hospital...cost $100 including biopsy. (all I needed for ID was my US passport. No questions asked!!)
7 months later I am happy to report that I am doing fine.

I highly recommend any American who can't afford US medical care to look into going overseas. Countries like Thailand, India and Singapore are gearing up to provide top notch medical care at a fraction of the cost in the US

No one needs to be a victim. There are other choices

How to get the ball rolling is the challenge.
Any one have any good ideas on how to spread the word in a timely fashion?

Obama, the President of the United States and leader of the free world, bows to a Saudi King who represents a despotic regime noted for its’ human rights violations, a birthplace of terrorists, a symbol of everything that is an antithesis to our system of government, and it’s no big deal?

I consider myself fortunate to have been born in a republic. I appreciate that as a citizen of a republic, I need not bow to any man or woman. We are all created equal, and blood lines do not make one person superior. This gesture by Obama should rankle every citizen for when Obama bowed as President of the United States, we all bowed.

He did bow, see the video from the latest angle:

Isn't it strange that any time a union "takes over" a company, they tend to destroy it?

Unions insulate accountability and create an "Us vs Them" mentality rather than a "We" mentality.

I remember one of my coworkers at a former job saying, that "the problem with Unions is that if you are happy, they must not be doing their job."

Which is why you should try examining reality yourself for the first time. Tell me, how many times have you read 'Eurabia' that you can cite, say, 100 examples of "conspiracy-theory thinking"?

"I love hearing from mental midgets who live by dogma and refuse to examine reality." (rx)

Me too. But I love much more when succedding to make them examine the reality. It's more uncommon, harder to do, and really amazing.
