NORTHCOM: Thought Police on Steroids to Quell Civil Unrest

If you thought what happened to those with differing viewpoints in Pittsburgh during the recent G-20 summit–i.e., peaceful protestors bashed and jailed–then you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Here comes NORTHCOM!

NORTHCOM is the U.S. Army’s Northern Command, designed as the "on-call federal response force" to subdue "unruly or dangerous individuals" and "help with civil unrest and crowd control." NORTHCOM is gearing up to be a 20,000-soldier-strong command unit that is, as you just read in the quotations, guaranteed to run amok at will–or at the beck and call of its commander-in-chief, our Kenyan, Muslim, Communist president, Barack Obama.

What is that they say about the devil? He wins once everyone quits believing he exists. That’s the apparent strategy of the Obama forces. When they get everyone to quit believing that they’re far-left loons ready to throw out the Constitution and disarm every citizen, then they will succeed in doing just that.

I imagine there will be a few NORTHCOM "crowd control" and "civil unrest" incidents staged to justify throwing out the Second Amendment, and the media will sheepishly carry the message out to the citizenry that "guns gotta go!"

Anyway, NORTHCOM started under Dubya, so one could rightfully say it is designed to serve both far-left and far-right revolutions. NORTHCOM is also against the law. According to the Posse Comitatus act of 1878, federal troops are not allowed to be used as stateside police.

Clearly, as in all matters, Obama could care less about laws and the Constitution. Power is all that he craves, and unfortunately, enough people ceased believing the devil exists to elect him to office. Oh, the day we’ll all regret soon enough.

Gee, Medicare Is Bankrupt, So What This Country Needs Is a ‘Public Option’–Brilliant!

The obvious intent of including a so-called public option in the so-called health care reform going on in D.C. (I hate to even call it the nation’s capital anymore; it’s been occupied by foreign forces out to destroy the nation) is to put private insurers out of business, aggregate all health care in the hands of government to create an entitlement, and thereby assure the perpetual re-election of Democrats because, "The Republicans will take away your health care."

That’s the intent in the long run. In the short run, the intent is to shift all discussion of health care reform from where it belongs–on our already bankrupt public option known as Medicare–to what the Demofiends hope the public perceives as "free" health care, the so-called public option.

If Medicare, which pays about 80 percent or less of what doctors and hospitals say their services are worth, is going bankrupt while undercutting the private insurances and private health care practitioners, what the hell is a public option going to do except exactly the same on a grander scale?

So, what you have here–much like the battle over executive pay–is to shift the blame from government (which runs the public option of Medicare and has botched it entirely to the private insurers, who are now being demonized when, in fact, the great majority of insured Americans are more than happy with their insurance and don’t want to give it up. The great pool of uninsured is largely those who choose not to pay for insurance and those who are here illegally, plus many who are eligible for Medicaid but don’t bother to sign up.

I thought Arnold Kling, writing for the site Library of Economics and Liberty, said it best:

Incidentally, the debate over the ‘public option’ in health reform also can be viewed as an exercise in symbolic politics and diversion. The point is to divert attention away from the bankruptcy of Medicare.

Teachers’ Unions: Why Our Kids Are Reborn Stupid in Class

Boy, ain’t this the truth? I used to work for a teachers’ union, and I can attest to what a bunch of phoneys, far-left wackos and back-stabbers they are, the organizers anyway. The most active teachers are the same but are sadly able to wreak havoc in a classroom everyday by brainwashing their students.

The Feds’ Nigerian 419 Health Care Reform Plan to Bind Us All

Category : Liberal Antidote

Among the many items in so-called health care reform never discussed by the traditional (read: brainwashed, complicit liberal) media is the start date of ALL the health care plans circulating through Congress–2013.

The obvious reason for this is that the Demofiends don’t want to inflict the pain inherent in their reform plans until after Barak Obama (oh, sorrowful day) is re-elected president. Of course, it could just as easily be Sarah Palin and a Republican Congress in 2013, but you can’t accuse the Demobastards of not at least aiming high.

The less obvious, and also never discussed, aspect of this start date is the Nigeran 419 aspect of health care reform.

A brief primer on the Nigerian 419 scam: You receive an e-mail stating that somehow millions of dollars have been left in your name in some (non-existent) Nigerian bank. Send $25,000, and the e-mail sender will negotiate for the release of the money. Of course, it’s pretty easy to see what happens next. Nothing. You’ve just lost $25,000.

Health care reform hinges on a similar principle. To make "universal" health care appear affordable, the measures are all loaded with up-front revenue enhancers, whether in the form of taxes or fees or some other euphemism for taxation and a government raid of your income, that kick in immediately. The Feds are thereby able to build up a war chest (in theory anyway since in practice the money would be immediately spent) for 2013 when the costs of implementing health care reform kick in. And these costs will be huge and quickly runaway from projections (see Massachusetts, Tennesse, etc.).

Like the Nigerian 419 scheme, you pay the Democrats up front, and what do you get after 2013?

Nothing.

’Cept for further expenses for health care insurance, whether at work or in your personal mailbox, and then some health care "czar" will set about rationing and denying treatment and medicines.

Change maybe you can believe it, but not me.

I ain’t no sucka.

Thought Police IV: The Bipartisan Spy-on-Americans Approach

The bipartisan consensus that encourages unaccountable secret state agencies to illegally spy on the American people under color of a limitless, and highly profitable, "war on terror" was dealt a (minor) blow October 13.

Federal District Court Judge Jeffrey White denied a motion by the Obama administration that the court issue a 30-day stay to "release records relating to telecom lobbying over last year’s debate over immunity for corporate participation in government spying," the Electronic Frontier Foundation reported.

The Justice Department had argued that the Bush, and now, the Obama administration’s Office of Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and Congress were exempt from releasing lobbying records under the Freedom of Information Act, since consultations amongst said grifters were protected as "intra-agency" records.

One might add, since the 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, a well-funded surveillance-industrial-complex fueled by giant defense firms and the telecommunications industry have, as investigative journalist Tim Shorrock reported back in 2005 "fielded armies of lobbyists to keep the money flowing."

Hypocrisy Reeks Out of the White House and Earns a Hoot in Russia

Read this quotation from a couple of days ago from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and tell me it’s not the height of hypocrisy:

"People must be free to take unpopular positions, disagree with conventional wisdom, know they are safe to peacefully challenge accepted practice and authority," she said in a speech at Moscow State University."

Let’s see. This is from a high emissary from a White House that is trying to silence and smear every critic in the land and particularly to paint Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and the entire Fox News Bureau as fringe lunatics who are deluded liars making stuff up.

I guess "unpopular positions" and disagreements with "conventional wisdom" (an oxymoron since there is no wisdom in the current White House) are fine to challenge in Russia, but if you do so here, be ready to be charged with made-up hate crimes and racist acts and be shipped off to a re-education camp, never to be seen or heard from again. It can happen unless the American public wakes up.

I take it that Clinton elicited a good chuckle from her audience.

Obama Pledges to SEIU to Turn the Nation Purple (Read: Red)

Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), is probably the most evil, power-hungry person in America, and he certainly would covet like his "precious" the thought that every worker in America would be at his beck and call (read: slave) and paying the SEIU exorbitant union dues, which would then be passed along to Head Red Obama and the Demofiends. Here is a video of Obama’s pledge to turn the nation "purple" (actually, red).
