I owe this to syndicated columnist Mark Steyn, who exposed the hypocrisy of Members of Congress, mainly the Demofiends, in their ridiculously aimed and ridiculously worded piece of legislation going by the acronym of NOPEC.
Basically, NOPEC (The No Oil-Producing and -Exporting Cartels Act) allows Congress, or whomever it empowers, to sue Saudi Arabia and other OPEC (Organization of Petroleum-Exporting Countries) for limiting petroleum production and thus raising gass prices. (Actually, neither Congress nor OPEC knows that you need hypens in there, but I added them.)
Now, one has to ask oneself, "Who limits the production and extraction of oil more than the U.S. Congress?" So now the Demofiends, and their scared Republican lackeys, want to drag a bunch of oil-rich sheiks into court and lash out at them? Good luck. Gas would be $7 a gallon before the ink was dry on the lawsuit. It might be anyway with the Demofiend hypocrits, who never met a snail darter, nor a vote, that they didn’t like, in power.
Let’s face it: saying you’re going to protect the environment while lowering the price of gasoline (again, good luck) gets more votes than saying we need to exploit the natural resources we have.
It’s always tragic when the pursuit of (Demofiend) power outstrips common sense. To paraphrase Al Davis, "Just drill, baby."

Moroccan security services recently dismantled an 11-member militant jihadist network that operated in the cities of Fez and Nador, the official Moroccan government news agency Maghreb Arabe Press (MAP) reported May 19.
According to the report, the network was involved in recruiting young men to fight in Iraq and had also allegedly sent recruits to train in camps run by al Qaeda’s franchise, Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), in neighboring Algeria.
The recent crackdown follows a string of similar arrests in Morocco in the wake of the Casablanca suicide attacks in 2003. These countermeasures, including an arrest in February of 35 alleged militants with ties to AQIM, have thrown jihadist militants in Morocco off balance. The arrests also underscore the difficulty jihadists face when recruiting in a country where infiltration efforts by the local security service are aggressive.

Mexico’s long and violent drug cartel war has recently intensified. The past week witnessed the killings of no fewer than six senior police officials. One of those killed was Edgar Millan Gomez, acting head of the Mexican federal police and the highest-ranking federal cop in Mexico. Millan Gomez was shot to death May 8 just after entering his home in Mexico City.
Within the past few days, six suspects have been arrested in connection with his murder. One of the ringleaders is said to be a former federal highway police officer. The suspects appear to have ties to the Sinaloa cartel. In fact, Millan Gomez was responsible for a police operation in January that led to the arrest of Alfredo Beltran Leyva, the cartel’s second-in-command. Mexican police believe Beltran Leyva’s brother Arturo (who is also a significant player in the Sinaloa cartel structure) commissioned the hit.

One would hope that Saint Hillary, who in reality is a real-life reincarnation of Gollum, would have a self-examination as the original Gollum did with with his untainted self Smeagle in Peter Jackson’s memorable Lord of the Rings. Instead, she just grows more desperate as her morally and mortally conflicted persona as America’s political Gollum sees her prize recede from grasp.
"My precious" now belongs to Hosanna Obama barring his demise from act of God or man, which I don’t wish on anyone.
Saint Hillary has already played the race card through surrogate self "Eye of Sauron" hubby Bill, and that didn’t do the trick. The Ring is still in someone else’s possession. So now her only hope is a) the Iowa and Florida trump card and b) a superdelegate sellout.
Gollum and Eye of Sauron will, of course, continue to sell their souls to achieve both a and b, but to no avail.
In the end, both will be plunged into the fiery pits of Mount Doom, losers in the battle to "rule them all."
We’ll all be the winners as Obama Hosanna then goes down to defeat to ersatz but better-than-nothing Republican John McCain.
