Enough already.  Any woman who hates–repeat, hates–her Dad so much that she can’t speak to him, and who has no history of being raped, beaten and/or mutiliated by him, has no right to earn anybody’s "best woman in America" moniker, which was awarded Angelina Jolie by Esquire magazine. 

Let’s see here–in addition to her loathing her father, she broke up a marriage to bring other royalty into her life.  Good luck, Brad Pitt.

Now comes this:  Her Royal Phoney-Ness has evidently dis-invited Fox News from her movie premiere.  I assume this means the movie A Mighty Heart.  It may as well be called A Mighty Fart if this selfish-mongering woman is the star.

Can anyone still take the popular media seriously?  Can we take anyone seriously who takes this woman seriously?

I can’t remember ever reading anything political in the Los Angeles Times with which I agreed.  It’s basic far-left credo is a) raise taxes on everything, b) let government take over everything and c) pass an amendment to bar anyone from running for office who has an ADA score lower than 90 percent.

However, Tim Rutten has a very perceptive piece about worldwide media silence concerning recently renewed Islamist threats to assassinate author Salman Rushdie for being knighted.  Remember, Rushdie was the one for whom the Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa of death when his book, The Satanic Verses, appeared.  Now in light of his knighthood, an Iranian group is offering $150,000 for Rushdie’s murder.

Meanwhile, no one in the media is willing to stand up for the author except Rutten.  I love his conclusion:

If Western and, particularly American, commentators refuse to speak up when their obligations are so clear, the fanatics will win and the terrible silence they so fervently desire will descend over vast stretches of our world–a silence in which the only permissible sounds are the prayers of the killers and the cries of their victims.

Here’s a sweet bit of news and something I predicted when the incident first began playing out : Paris Hilton, socialite and porn-vid star, will sell her prison story and photos to the highest bidder, with bids now reaching $1 million, which is supposedly what NBC offered.

I don’t think there’s any need to recall the saga of how and why Ms. Hilton ended up in jail, but it seems oddly American (and un-American at the same time) that the rich, even when they pay for their sins, get paid even more for having paid for their sins.

The farthest left of the far-left freakos out there, one who even surpasses the Demofiend tag I created for your run-of-the-mill, hate-America, tax-everything, socialize-what’s-remaining weirdo, the Michael Moore female clone who goes by the name of Rosie O’Donnell, now wants to succeed Bob Barker on The Price Is Right?

Can you imagine?  "And if you guess the price of what’s behind this door, we will assassinate George Bush in his sleep tonight and send Dick Cheney to Falloujah to fight bare-handed against terrorists."

It wouldn’t be pretty.  It wouldn’t make sense.  That’s why it may happen.

This should come as no surprise to anyone, but the Democrats cherish deceit as much as they cherish power, which is really all they care about. (For further confirmation of this, just check out the two books that came out recently on that ultimate power fiend, Hillary Clinton.)

Case in point:  Representative Nancy Boyda of Kansas.  She’s a registered Demofiend, but now that two Republicans are waging a hot campaign to unseat her, she’s shed her true colors.  She just joined 95 Republicans in Congress in attacking the amnesty portion of the new immigration bill, and she’s openly pro-gun.  She’s dropped the word Democrat from her campaign literature and refuses any help from the Demofiend campaign committee.

If she gets re-elected, what will she do?

Vote for higher taxes, decimation of the U.S. military, more welfare, national health care, etc.  Just another case of Demofiend deceit.

A Demofiend judge has–gee, I’m shocked, shocked–given former Dick Cheney aide "Scooter" Libby just about the harshest prison term he could for trumped-up, show-trial charges of obstruction of justice and perjury.

Basically, Libby is going to prison for two and a half years for a) telling the truth as he recalled it and b) working for Cheney and Bush (not specified in the indictment, of course).

Let’s see–we had a former president by the name of Bill Clinton perjure himself all over the place on various occasions and what happened to him?  I think someone gave him a $15-million home as a retirement reward; maybe it was only $5 million.  Life’s tough when you’re both a liar and a president.

Anyway, whatever the consequences to his reputation and his party’s nationwide standing, George Bush should pardon Libby ASAP and upbraid the judge and the legal system.  What’s he got to lose?  He can’t run again, and he doesn’t seem to care about his party.  Let’s see if he has the guts.  I frankly doubt it.

So Internet inventor Al Gore has penned a book entitled The Assault on Reason?  How typical–and pathetic.

This is another attempt, of course, to paint George Bush and all conservatives as mental morons who just react emotionally and never reason things through.  (See how easy it is to summarize a Demofied tome?)

If you want a good puke, buy The Assault on Reason and read it over your toilet.  Meanwhile, Al Gore is the biggest assault on reason that I can imagine.  He should join his legendary melting ice caps and just float away.
